Pruitt's Story

We adopted our dog Tela three years ago from a family who couldn't take care of her. Since I am disabled, I spent alot of time with our dogs. They became part of the family and were loved. This past Autumn were we planning to move south to a warmer climate. After a few days I felt something was wrong and we left for home. When my husband picked the dogs up at the boarding kennel, he was informed that Tela had not eaten for three days and was lethargic. I took her to the vet the following day. We found out that she had kidney cancer and she died that day. Tela was only four years old and had I known about the cancer earlier, there might have been something we could have done to help her. I miss her with all my heart!
